headshots, advertising, and anything that requires travel…
After my bachelor’s at James Madison University, I went back to school to learn photography- after graduating I moved to NYC to work with the amazing Mary Ellen Mark. I also had the chance to work with many big brands, magazines, and cool people. I even got to work at the NYC Archives printing antique negatives. I left New York in 2001 and moved to Los Angeles. I continued to shoot, assist and work at a few labs which gave me a fantastic insight into all things printing-related. I have a passion not just to make pretty pixels, but to create lasting art you can hold in your hands and view in your home.
I have two studios, One in St Paul, Minnesota, and one in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin. I love to photograph comedians (naturally) families and for the past five years I have been steadily increasing my aviation work- you can see my images on huge displays in Oshkosh Wisconsin or wherever seaplanes are.
